We pack No Mozzie with premium all-natural, plant-based ingredients. We don’t use alcohol or water as cheap bulking agents, and we don’t use synthetic chemicals. Each ingredient is carefully selected to be beneficial to your skin and unpalatable to biting insects. We then combine these ingredients in a 12-stage temperature-controlled process to ensure each one retains potency and harmonizes with the others.
The result is a repellent that is kind to your skin, and independently tested to be extremely effective at stopping mosquito, midge and sandfly bites.
The technical non-DEET active ingredient
Also known by brand names such as Citriodiol and Citrepel, PMD is the main active ingredient at the heart of No Mozzie. It’s 100% natural and plant-derived, and has been proven as effective as DEET. The UK’s NHS includes PMD as a recommended repellent.
The base holds it all together and provides the main moisturising action along with some rudimentary contact repellency.
Our lightweight coconut oil is rich in Medium Chain Triglycerides and is perfect for keeping the skin beautifully hydrated. We use coconut oil that is processed to a food grade standard to ensure the best possible quality and moisturizing impact.
No Mozzie uses golden Jojoba oil that is rich in Omega 9 fatty acids and Vitamin E to help nourish and moisturize. Although known as an oil, Jojoba is actually a liquid wax that closely resembles the oils naturally produced by the skin, so it is readily absorbed and ideal for keeping skin supple and glowing.
We use natural Vitamin E to boost the impact of our other moisturizing ingredients and to help combat the premature aging effect of free radicals in the skin.
The botanical extracts and oils that are historically well-known for their mosquito repellent properties. We blend the three most effective from three continents.
The insect repellant properties of Lemongrass are well-documented and established. It is used across the world as a simple mosquito repellent, and also happens to smell fabulous! It gives No Mozzie part of it’s distinctive and uplifting “zing”.
Neem Seed Oil has a history of use spanning thousands of years across the Indian subcontinent – both as a cosmetic and as an insect repellent. It’s a potent addition to the No Mozzie team of ingredients so we use it carefully to ensure balance.
The delicate aroma and insect repellant nature of geranium completes the No Mozzie line-up. It provides a calming balance to the raw power of PMD and other critical ingredients.
